Dear Subscribers,
Thank you for being a part of the Hypnosis Haven community. Whether you’ve just joined or have been with me since I began my practice in 2016, I sincerely appreciate your trust, time, and attention. I don’t often send newsletters, but today, I feel compelled to share an important message that has been on my heart for some time.
Hypnotherapy is often grouped with new-age practices, and in some cases, even included on lists of practices discouraged by certain churches. A year ago, I addressed this concern in a video on my YouTube channel, clarifying that my approach to hypnotherapy is distinct from energy work and other new-age methodologies. I believe this distinction is essential.
This realization became even clearer during a session with a client. While I was able to guide them through their healing process, I recognized that true transformation often requires more than hypnotherapy alone. It was a pivotal moment that deepened my understanding of my role—not just as a practitioner, but as someone who can help cut through the noise and provide clarity.
After months of reflection and discussions with priests and church officials, I came to reaffirm that hypnotherapy, when practiced with the right intent, is not a gateway into new-age spiritualism.
Instead, it is a powerful tool rooted in science, capable of helping individuals overcome deep-seated challenges. Many of you know that my focus has always been on the medical and psychological applications of hypnotherapy—helping clients manage addiction, reduce anxiety, recover from strokes, and even prevent conditions like prediabetes. While I once explored aspects of new-age teachings, my approach has evolved to focus more on practical, evidence-based healing rather than esoteric symbolism.
So, what does this mean for my practice and my clients?
I’m not here to hypnotize anyone into returning to church or deepening their faith. However, I do believe that true healing often requires more than just an understanding of psychology. While Freudian principles like the Pain-Pleasure dynamic and the impact of generational trauma play a role, some changes require something deeper—sometimes, change requires prayer.
As we journey through Lent, a season of reflection and renewal, I am committed to helping my clients break free from the habits that hold them back. If you’ve been struggling with addiction, anxiety, or cycles of self-sabotage, now is the time to reclaim your life.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of your healing journey. I look forward to continuing this work with clarity, purpose, and faith.
With gratitude,
Susana
